Incident at Mosquito Hill
I do not know if the craft had landed or was hovering close to the ground. It certainly blocked out the stand of cup gums which capped the hill behind. Our neighbours owned a dairy farm. Their house was only about 100 metres away from where I saw the craft and I was concerned for their safety.
New Years Eve, 2016
I assumed it was a chopper at first. Then realised all characteristics including its velocity were different to a chopper as it was getting closer. At this point I called out my wife and quickly grabbed my expensive astronomical binoculars which were close by. It was maintaining a consistent rapid vector towards us.

“I wonder what that is?” I say, not recognising the large luminous glow in the sky. The scraggly street trees growing out of the concrete footpath blocked a clear line of vision, so we moved in amongst them, straining to see what this strange light was.
