Don Schmidt: Roswell

Roswell remains one of the most intriguing UFO cases, and with the testimonies of over 600 witnesses and four official explanations of what crashed outside of Roswell back in 1947. Which of these explanations is supported by all the eyewitnesses and all the facts?

Don was an associate producer of James Fox's feature film The Phenomenon. He was the former co-director of the J. Allen Hynek Center for UFO Studies of Chicago, where he served as director of special investigations for ten years, and is the world’s foremost authority on the Roswell incident. A co-founder of the world famous International UFO Museum and Research Center, he also serves as an advisor to their board of directors. 

His first book written with co-researcher Kevin Randle, UFO Crash at Roswell was made into the 'Roswell' TV movie. Witness to Roswell became the best selling UFO book in the world for 2007 and 2008. Inside the Real Area 51; The Secret History of Wright Patterson, rose to best-seller on Amazon within 11 days.  

Don’s visit to Melbourne included a breakfast interview with Libby Gore on ABC Radio and a presentation at the Performance Space, Library at the Dock in Melbourne on Saturday December 9. He presented his argument, using a selection of witness testimonies to support his claim that the Roswell incident was never a crashed weather balloon, but something else entirely, and far more mysterious and exotic.

From 1989 to 2013, Don Schmitt has led and organised four official archaeological dig projects at the actual Roswell crash debris field.
